Joyce Margaret Smith

Joyce Margaret Smith, age 97, of St. Petersburg, Florida, and formerly of
Battle Creek, died in the early morning of Thursday, July 4, 2013. She was
born in Battle Creek on May 15, 1916, the daughter of John H. and Margaret
M. Sylvester. She was a loving mother who also enjoyed playing Bridge and
reading.

Joyce married Adelbert N. Smith on October 25, 1947; he sadly preceded her
in death after more than 48 wonderful years of marriage. She was also
preceded in death by her sons, Stephen Peck Smith and Gregory Del Smith.
Joyce is survived by her son, John Sylvester Smith (Sherry); her grandchildren, Erica Kristen Smith, Graham Stephen Smith (Catherine), and
three nephews.

Funeral services to celebrate Joyce's life will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday,
July 9, 2013, in the chapel at Memorial Park Cemetery, Battle Creek. In
lieu of flowers, memorials directed to the Suncoast Hospice Foundation, 5771
