Juan Garcia, 66, of Battle Creek, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 6, 2020. He was born November 18, 1953 in Battle Creek, the son of Jose and Lucy (Bocanegra) Garcia.
Johnny worked for the city of Battle Creek for 15 years. He was a black belt in karate and owned his own studio. He was an avid chess player and enjoyed playing pool. He also enjoyed collecting antiques.
Johnny is survived by his son, Alejandro (Ashley) Garcia and his daughter, Alicia Garcia; six grandchildren; brothers Reno Traevino, Reyes Garcia and Jose Garcia; sisters, Maria Lupe Shultz, Mary Leche, Irene (Larry) Fox, Gloria Garcia and Beatrice Rollins and many nieces and nephews.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Josie Bombard and Sylvia Garcia; brothers-in-law Keith Shultz and Gary Rollins.
He will be missed and was loved by many.
