Juanita J. (Harris) Pervine of Bangor, MI and formerly of Battle Creek, MI,








Juanita, age 79, died Sunday morning, March 9, 2014 at her son, Dan's residence following a lengthy illness.




Juanita, the daughter of George and Dora (Pillars) Harris, was born April 23, 1934 in Battle Creek; was a lifetime area resident and a 1952 graduate of the WK Kellogg Agricultural High School of Richland, MI. She had been employed as a bookkeeper for Battle Creek Motor Parts and retired in 2000 after 15 years of faithful service from Behnke Truck Lines of Battle Creek. Juanita was a member of the Friends Church of Battle Creek and a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the American Business Women's Association. She was an active volunteer for many years with the Battle Creek Festival of Lights.



Juanita was united in marriage to Louis J. "Louie" Pervine on January 10, 2004, in Battle Creek, MI and he sadly preceded her in death on September 17, 2010. Surviving is her daughter, Kathy (Phil) Meisterheim of Battle Creek; three sons, Daniel (Laura) Stout of Bangor, Robert McIntosh and Chuck (Cynthia) McIntosh, both of Battle Creek; fourteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Killian of Ft. Myers, FL and Mary (Robert) Fales of Battle Creek; two brothers, Ray (Kathy) Douglas of Battle Creek and Gary Douglas; many nieces and nephews and a special, lifelong friend, Sara Gibson of Battle Creek. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Tim Stout; a sister, Evelyn Foster and a brother, William Harris.




The Funeral Service to celebrate Juanita's life will be held on Thursday, March 13th at 11:00 a.m. at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Battle Creek, with Rev. Kelly C. Hadlich, Pastor of the Friends Church, officiating. Friends will be received on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Immediately following the service, family and friends are invited to continue Juanita's life celebration with a time of fellowship and a luncheon at the Friends Church, 1305 Olive Street, Battle Creek, MI 49014. Private interment will be next to her husband, Louie in Memorial Park Cemetery, Battle Creek. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Juanita's honor may be directed to the Little Friends Child Care, c/o Friends Church.
