Judy K. Kohler

Judy K. Kohler, age 75, of Richland passed away peacefully at home on Friday morning, August 7, 2020. She was born in Kalamazoo on January 6, 1945, the loving daughter of Earl and Evelyn (Fleckenstein) Meier and graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School. Judy retired from Gull Lake Community Schools in 2000 after 25 years of service.

Judy married Ronald E. "Ron" Kohler Sr. in Big Rapids, Michigan on May 2, 1964; he survives. She is also survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Ronald & Dianne Kohler Jr.; her sister, Shirley Sincler and several nieces and nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Earl "Spark" Meier Jr., Don Meier, Jack Meier; and a sister Barbara Meier.

Judy was a member of the Augusta VFW Ladies Auxiliary and attended gracespring Bible Church. She enjoyed knitting, cooking & baking and helping people in need. She & Ron enjoyed going to the Wednesday evening car shows at the Gilmore Car Museum and attending other area car shows.

A memorial service to celebrate Judy's life will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 10th at gracespring Bible Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Chicago would be appreciated.
