Julianne "Julie" Klein

Julianne "Julie" S. Klein, 76, of Hickory Corners, died peacefully surrounded by her family December 1, 2022 at Bickford of Battle Creek. She was born January 30, 1946 in Kalamazoo to Walter and Pauline (Moskalik) Chmiel. She married Michael Klein on December 16, 1966. They were just shy of their 56th wedding anniversary.

Julie enjoyed decorating the outside of her house with flowers, going shopping and flea marketing, drawing and doing ceramics. She especially loved the holidays and decorating around the house.

Julie is survived by her loving husband, Michael; their son, Christopher (Lisa) Klein; grandchildren, Chelsea, Adam and Megan; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Hudson, Oaklyn and Bennett; Julie's brother and sisters Walter, Stephanie, and Rosemary. Mike's sister Charlene, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Pauline; her step-mother Stella, her sister Leona, and her brother Phillip.

Visitation will be Monday, December 5, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel, where funeral services to celebrate Julie's life will be at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 6. A burial service will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery at 1:30 followed by a lunch at Charles and Darl's Smokehouse & Grill from 2-4.
