Julie A. Cummins

Julie found complete peace on October 18, 2021, surrounded by those closest to her. She had been living with pancreatic cancer for more than two years.

Julie, 67, was the beloved daughter of Ruthanne Cummins and dear friend of Carrie, her caregiver, Deb, Margaret, Kathy, Barb and many others. She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Cummins and brothers Jeffery and Michael Cummins.

Julie was a graduate of Michigan State University and received her Master's Degree from Central Michigan University. She worked as a teacher and principal for many years and touched the lives of many students.

An excellent student, athlete, coach and friend, Julie always gave 100% of herself to every endeavor she encountered, just as she approached her latest journey.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. In honoring Julie's wishes there will be a small, private graveside service at Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Julie would like memorial donations to go to the Service Dog Project or pancan.org in her memory. Julie would also love for you to show your Spartan Spirit.
