June "Grandma Juney" Werner-Burroughs

June "Grandma Juney" Werner-Burroughs, age 88, of Battle Creek passed away April 15, 2020.

Mom was born in Clarksville, Michigan and raised by her paternal grandparents Birt and Hazel Miller. She married Robert Werner in 1956 which ended in divorce. She married Jerry Burroughs in 1995.

Mom was preceded in death by her grandparents and husband, Jerry Burroughs. She is survived by her children, Cindy (Brian) MacDonald and Karen Fay her grandchildren, Adam (Jennifer) MacDonald, Kristin MacDonald, Jacob Perry, Kayla (Don) Paul, Katie (Tim) Ferris, and Camrin Fay; and great-granddaughters,
Penelope June MacDonald and Madelynn Perry.

She was employed over the years by Ralstons, Kellogg's, Stans Place, Grizzly Bar...But one of her favorite jobs was working in the cafeteria at Pennfield schools.

She was a diehard Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers fan...She never turned down an opportunity to play euchre and she bowled for 50+ years—it truly was her favorite sport. She always felt the most important trophy to win was the one for best sportsmanship.

The absolute happiness and joy in her life were her children and grandchildren.. She attended every sporting event, band concert and dance recital. If it involved her children she was in attendance...She was also known for big family dinners as she absolutely loved to cook and have everyone gather.. She always had joy and hope in her heart...we will miss her "Grandma Juney" kisses and hugs and of course the sound of her laughter..

We will try to live by her words "We are all here together in this life to help one another."

In lieu of a public memorial service the family will have a private memorial to say farewell.
