Kalob A. Boyer, 15, of Battle Creek, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015. Kalob was born March 8, 1999 in Kalamazoo. Overcoming many obstacles, Kalob fought from day one. He showed courage in each of his 74 surgeries, and always had a smile on his face. Everyone who came into contact with Kalob fell in love with him. Kalob truly had an effect on each person in his life. He loved his pigs and ducks, and especially his music.
Kalob is survived by his mother, Christine Burns; his biological parents, Sara Boyer and Thomas Buhl; his Grandpa Pennock; Grandma Buhl; Grandma Boyer; five aunts; one uncle; one sister; three brothers and many cousins. Kalob was preceded in death by his Great-Grandma and Grandpa Burns; Grandpa and Grandma Knight; Grandpa Buhl; Cousin Lisa Dilts and Uncle James McGrew.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, where funeral services to celebrate Kalob's life will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 27, officiated by Rev. Harold Goff. Interment will follow at Banfield Cemetery. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the fund set up for Kalob to help pay for expenses, set-up at Fifth Third Bank.
