Karen Kay Smoker

Karen Kay Smoker, 64, of Bronson, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024, in the loving care of her family. 

Karen was born January 14, 1960, in Coldwater, Michigan, the daughter of Arthur Eugene and Mary Ann (Kregger) Smoker. Karen grew up in Bronson, Michigan and was a 1978 graduate of Bronson High School. 

Surviving are her son, Brett Schroeder of Bethesda, MD; brothers, Douglas (Kami) Smoker of Galesburg, Mark (Susan) Smoker of Alma; sisters, Carol (Jeff) Bucklin of Bronson, Ramona (David) Benham of Marshall and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. Karen was preceded in death by her parents. 

Karen enjoyed caring for her flower and vegetable gardens. She loved following her great-nieces and great-nephews sporting events and activities. 

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time. 

Memorial contributions in memory of Karen may be made c/o her family to help with funeral costs.
