Karl Douglas Little

Karl Douglas Little, age 64, passed away after a long illness on February 16, 2025, in Cleveland, Tennessee. He was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on November 21, 1960, the son of Karl T. Little and Barbara (Hansen) Buskirk. 

Karl, sometimes known as Doug to close family, was a car enthusiast and worked as a mechanic until a disability forced him out of the shop. He still enjoyed working on his cars when he could. Karl loved to draw and was known for his artistic talents. He always enjoyed spending time with his family.

Karl married Susan “Sue” Thompson on October 19, 1980; she preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his father, brothers, Todd Little and Terry Little; his stepfather, Gerald Buskirk, Sr.; and stepbrothers, Jim Buskirk and Dave Buskirk.

Karl was survived by his mother; his children, Amber (Wayne) McNamara, Jennifer M. Profancik, and Ryan Little; his grandchildren, Evan and Scarlett McNamara, Athena and Kayde Profancik, Shaun Crandel Little, and bonus grandchild, Shelby Stahlhood; his brothers, Dennis (Nancy) Little and Greg (Marcey) Little; his stepsiblings, Gerald Buskirk, Jr. and Judith Buskirk; and several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Cremation Preneed Care, Battle Creek where funeral services to celebrate Karl's life will begin at 12:30 p.m. The service will be Live-Streamed and may be viewed at https://vimeo.com/event/4940939. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may directed to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the family.
