Kathie Evans

Kathie, the daughter of Theron H. and Ruth E. (Krebs) Evans, was born on May 18, 1957 in North Tonawanda Niagara, NY. She was a 1975 graduate of St. Philip Catholic High School and attended Kellogg Community College for Accounting. Kathie was a Business Woman at heart, having owned and operated a gift store in Urbandale and Denver, CO and most recently, was the owner of rental properties in the Urbandale area. She was a long time member of St. Jerome's Parish of Battle Creek, worked its Bingo and was a member of its St. Vincent DePaul Society and Women's League. Kathie was currently a member at St. Ann Catholic Church of Gull Lake, Augusta, MI.

Kathie was preceded in death by her father, Theron on November 23, 2003 and by her mother, Ruth on June 19, 1985. Surviving are
two aunts, Earlean R. Evans of Ozark, MO and Connie A. (Jim) Jennings of Lewes, DE; four cousins, LaRaine (Scott) Evans Bauer of Nixa, MO, Pamela K. (Loren) Caswell of Crossroads, MO, Lacey (Kyle) Evans Matheis of Springfield, MO and Shurdena R. Evans of Strafford, MO and by numerous other family members and a host of dear friends. Kathie was well known and loved and will be greatly missed!

The Memorial Mass to celebrate Kathie's life will be held on Saturday, March 2^nd at 11:00 a.m. at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church, 92 Capital Avenue, NE, Battle Creek, with Father Christopher J. Derda, Pastor of St. Ann Catholic Church, Celebrant. Immediately following the Mass, family
and friends are invited to the Parish Social Hall for a time of fellowship and a
luncheon. There will be no visitation at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Battle Creek. Interment will be in the family cemetery next to her father at the Union Grove Cemetery in Crossroads, MO. Memorial contributions in Kathie's honor may be made to the St. Philip Catholic School Fund and mailed to the Church.
