Kathleen "Kathy" Baldwin

November 2, 1940 — December 2, 2021

Kathleen Baldwin, age 81, went to be with her Lord on December 2nd, 2021, in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Kathy was born on November 2nd, 1940, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to Vernon and Elizabeth Allmendinger. She was a member of the First Congregational Church for many years and was involved in the PTA in the Battle Creek School District. She spent 28 years working as the secretary at Battle Creek Public Schools Facilities and Operations where she retired from in 2004.

Kathy brought joy to anyone she came into contact with. She was always laughing and always had a smile on her face. She loved being with her kids, grandkids, and especially her great-grandchildren, whom she adored.

Kathy always made Christmas the best day of the year for her family. She always wanted Christmas to be magical. Her gift wrapping was one-of-a-kind. Kathy also loved to cook for her family and the people in her life. She is most known for her famous potato salad that so many people in the community got to enjoy.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Donald Baldwin; her children, Kurt (Carol) Ritchie, Lynne (Owen) Thompson, and step-son, Donald Baldwin, Jr.; her grandchildren Lauren (Brad) Wentworth and Sarah (Alex) Westcot; her beloved great-grandchildren, Lana Wentworth, Reese Wentworth, Chloe Wentworth, Hattie Wentworth, Charlotte Wentworth, Isaiah Wentworth, and Griffin Westcot; and her dogs Abby and Phoebe.

At Kathleen's request, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations may be made to the American Heart Association and/or the Humane Society of the United States. Arrangements are by Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care.
