Kathrine Elizabeth Smith

Kathrine Elizabeth (Packer) Smith, age 69, of Battle Creek passed away Friday afternoon, March 6, 2015. She was born in Dayton, Tennessee on August 18, 1945, the daughter of Samuel Thomas and Thelma Mary (Oldham) Smith. Kathrine enjoyed gardening, having company, car rides, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Kathrine is survived by her daughters, Sandra "Sandy" Smith, Dawn Smith, Elizabeth "Beth" Smith, and Angela Clear, all of Battle Creek; her sisters, Anna Bell (George) Graham of Battle Creek; Opal (Jerry) Snodderly of Athens, and Linda Lou (Todd) Vance of West Virginia; her brother, Paul Eddy Smith of Tennessee; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 3 special great-grandchildren, Landon Deskins, Miley Payne, and J.J. Smith. She was sadly preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers; a sister, and a special great-granddaughter, Isabella Dawn Smith.

The family will receive friends 2:30 to 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in the chapel at Oak Hill Cemetery where services to celebrate her life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday.
