Kathryn Eldene "Katie" (Lucas) Jacobs

Kathryn Eldene "Katie" (Lucas) Jacobs, 96 formerly of Battle Creek, died peacefully at Masonic Pathways in Alma, Michigan on Sunday, March 4, 2018.
Katie was born February 2, 1922 in Burlington, Michigan the daughter of Raymond and Pearl (Finney) Lucas. She was employed at Wolverine Insurance Company, Fort Custer State Home, Lakeview General Hospital and had worked as a Massage Tech in private homes.
Kathryn Eldene Lucas was united in marriage to Arthur Robert Jacobs on July 30, 1944. Sadly she was preceded by Art, her husband of 67 years on November 30, 2011. Surviving are a daughter, Jodie Jacobs, spouse Carol Rylott of Chandler Arizona; son John Jacobs, spouse Teresa Jacobs of Columbia, Missouri; four grandchildren; Johnna LaLonde, Tayla DeVries, Ty Jacobs, and Todd Thurgaland; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
Katie was a life and active member of Bedford Order of the Eastern Star #471 and a dual member of OES Chapter #43 of Alma, Michigan. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and beloved grandmother.
A service to celebrate Katie's life will held at Masonic Pathways in Alma, Michigan on Sunday April 8, 2018 at 1:00 PM. Interment will be next to her husband Art at Memorial Park Cemetery in Battle Creek, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice of Michigan and/or Masonic Pathways. Personal messages for the family may be placed here at www.farleyestesdowdle.com. Arrangements are by Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care.
