Kathryn Ann (Felder) "Kathy" Kincaid

Kathryn A. (Felder) Kincaid, 67, a lifelong Battle Creek resident, died at Miller's Adult Foster Care Home in Marshall on Thursday, September 27, 2018.

Kathy was born January 4, 1951 in Battle Creek, Michigan at Percy Jones General Hospital, the daughter of Lyle W. and Dorothy Marie (Horrocks) Felder. She was a 1969 graduate of Harper Creek High School. Kathy was a self-employed care giver, and for many years cared for many ladies in their homes. She ran errands for them and almost adopted them as a member of her family.

Kathryn Ann Felder married Leslie Mayhew Kincaid on May 30, 1969 at First Presbyterian Church in Battle Creek. Sadly Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie on October 23, 2007; her one day old infant daughter, Jill Ann Kincaid on October 18, 1970; and her parents. Surviving are a son, Jackson Kincaid of Spring Valley, California; a sister, Kaylene M. (Gary) Woods of Battle Creek; a grandson, Coty Kincaid; a granddaughter, Marcela (Andrew) Kincaid-Owen and several cousins, nephews and nieces and their families.

Kathy attended St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. She loved hanging clothes outdoors to dry in the fresh air, feeding the squirrels, Koala bears, collecting green glass and especially family gatherings and barbecues. She was a longtime member of the Marshall Moose Lodge. Kathy will be remembered as a loving grandmother; for her big smile and being big hearted. She also loved Halloween and black cats. Kathy and her sister, Kay had an unconditional love for each other and even if they saw each other, they still visited on the phone several times a day.

Friends will be received 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, where funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2018. Committal and interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
