Kellie L. "Rock" Allen

Kellie L. "Rock", Allen, 70, of Canton, OH., and formerly of Mason, MI., died August 12, 2019. Rock was born May 9, 1949 in Hastings, MI to Paul and Alberta (Weeks) Allen. Rock was a loyal and dedicated Michigan State Spartan fan; he was a graduate and a football season ticket holder for many years. He knew a lot of the players and coaches on a personal level.

Rock worked for the State of Michigan Corrections as a prison guard at the Ionia Correctional Facility. He was a very loving, caring and generous man. If anyone he knew needed help, he was always there for them. He was actively involved in AA in the Mason/Lansing area and mentored many people throughout the years.

Rock is survived by his children, Daniel Allen, Laura Allen and Vince Allen; two brothers, Tim (Cheryl) Allen and Curt (Arlene) Allen and a sister, Paula (John) DeYoung. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service to celebrate Rock's life will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 4, 2019 at the New Life Fellowship Church, 4691 S. Hull Rd., Leslie, MI 49251, officiated by Rev. Wesley B. Emerson.
