Kenneth Ray "Ken" Favorite

Kenneth Ray "Ken" Favorite, age 81, of Battle Creek passed away Thursday afternoon, April 23, 2020. He was born in Battle Creek on June 30, 1938, the son of Vern and Alice (Potter) Favorite, and faithfully served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1962 to 1967. Ken retired from Denso Manufacturing in 2001 and had previously worked at Clark Equipment and Brunswick in Kalamazoo.

Ken married Catherine "Cathy" Livesay in Battle Creek on May 31, 2002; she survives. He is also survived by his son, Terry (Linda) Favorite; four grandchildren, Danny, Kevin, Travis, and Kaeligh Favorite; six great-grandchildren; five step children, Renee Crutchfield, Melvin Gudeman, David (Pamela) Gudeman, John (Tracy) Gudeman, and Rachelle (Joseph) Fabrazzo; ten step-grandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren; his sister, Joyce (John) Marks; and several nieces & nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Larry (Jocelyne) Favorite; and a step-granddaughter.

A Jeep enthusiast, Ken enjoyed tinkering with his jeeps and tractors, and in his early years he enjoyed snowmobiling and riding WaveRunners. He was also an avid sports fan, especially football and baseball.

Funeral services with military honors to celebrate Ken's life will be held 12:00 noon Friday, September 25th at the Fort Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to the Solid Rock Bible Church of Delton, 7025 Milo Rd. Delton, MI 49046, would be appreciated.
