Kirk Allen Gorby

Kirk Allen Gorby, 54, of Battle Creek passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024.

Kirk was born November 26, 1969 in Coldwater to Robert and Brenda (Nowland) Gorby. He served his country honorably in the Navy and went on to work for Bradford White Corporation. In December of 2002, he was united in marriage to Trisha LeAnn Paul. He loved bike-riding, playing cards and camping. He also enjoyed softball and was a Michigan State fan. He attended Garrison Hills Wesleyan Church and was in charge of the sound on Sundays.

Kirk is survived by his wife, Trisha Gorby; children, Jenna Jones and Cherish Gorby; parents, Robert and Brenda Gorby; and sister, Tammy (Peter) Olsen. He was preceded in death by a son, Kirk Gorby, Jr.

Kirk’s family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday, May 8 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. A service to celebrate his life will be held there Thursday, May 9 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Garrison Hills Wesleyan Church (195 Bradley St, Battle Creek, MI 49017).
