Kurt Matthews Huggett

Kurt Matthews Huggett, age 50, of Battle Creek sadly passed away on Friday afternoon, October 2, 2015. He was born at Community Hospital in Battle Creek on October 29, 1964. Kurt attended St. Philip Catholic School and Battle Creek Central. He owned and operated Kurt's Reliable Lawn Care for several years.

Kurt married Julie Ann Lepird in Battle Creek on June 20, 1992; she survives. He is further survived by his children, Amanda (Rob Jr.) Lambert of Athens, and Ryan (Erin Palangio) Huggett of Indiana; his grandchildren, Alora, Amelia, Taryn, and Constance; his mother, Shirley Huggett of Battle Creek; his brother, Troy Huggett of Battle Creek, and his dear friends, Mike White, Steven Malone, and Bob Woods. Kurt was preceded in death by his dad, Skip Brownell and his grandparents.

Kurt was an old fashioned father and family was always #1 in his life. He truly "Lived Life to the Fullest". Kurt enjoyed riding motorcycles with his wife, particularly Harley Davidsons and the freedom of the open water on his jet ski. Kurt loved being outdoors and enjoyed his lawn care business and taking care of his customers. He also enjoyed karaoke and loved all types of animals, but mostly loved his dogs.

The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 5, 2015 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care where funeral services to celebrate his life will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 6, 2015.
