Larry Dale Eaton of Battle Creek, MI
Larry, age 63, died Saturday afternoon, April 23, 2016 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital following a brief illness.
Larry, the son of Dale E. and Imo B. (Bolyen) Eaton, was born in Battle Creek on March 25, 1953; was a lifetime resident and 1970 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. He retired in 2012 as Assistant Controller for Michigan Paperboard Company after 25 years of faithful service. Larry was a member at First Wesleyan Church and had built churches and hospitals in Africa with its support group. He was an active community volunteer having assisted at the Battle Creek BalloonFest; the Taste of Battle Creek and the Rib Fest and Blues Fest in Kalamazoo. Larry was an avid bicyclist having rode over 6,000 miles in one summer!
Larry is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Marie Eaton of Marshall, MI and three step-sons, Anthony Cronk and Joseph Cronk, both of Battle Creek and Michael Castor of Athens, MI. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sharon Mann.
The Funeral Service to celebrate Larry's life will be held on Thursday, April 28th at 1:30 p.m. at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek, with Rev. Robert Heine, officiating. Interment will follow in East Hickory Corners Cemetery, Barry Township of Barry County, MI. Larry's family will greet friends on Wednesday, April 27th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
