Larry Nelson "Stoney" Green, Jr.

Larry was born December 6, 1962, in Battle Creek, Michigan, the son of Larry Nelson Sr. and Juanita Maria (Darlington-Brown-Green) Doty. “Stoney” grew up in Barry County, was a 1981 graduate of Hastings High School and attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Larry was employed as a CNC Lathe Machinist for an Aerospace Manufacturer in Kalamazoo. He also laid hard wood flooring and worked in the concrete construction business.

Surviving are his three children, Lance Beard, Travis Green and Samantha Green; his mother, Juanita Doty of Battle Creek; brother, Aaron Green of Battle Creek; grandson, Liam Green; granddaughter, Wrynlie; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Larry N. Green, Sr., stepfather, Steve Doty and grandparents, Sherm and Theresa Rugg and Robert and Doris Nunn.

Larry enjoyed ice fishing, hunting, trapping and cars. His favorite pastime was reading National Geographic magazine.

Larry will be laid to rest next to his father, Larry, Sr., at West Pennfield Hicks Cemetery 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026, with Pastor Luke Julian from Bellevue Baptist Church officiating.
