Larry Franklin Newell

Larry Franklin Newell, age 68, of Battle Creek passed away Wednesday evening, December 13, 2023.  He was born in Battle Creek on November 15, 1955 and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School with the Class of 1973. Larry retired from Apria Health Care in 2022 after 39 years with the Company.  Larry was a big Detroit Tigers fan and loved attending the games with his daughter. He also enjoyed reading and listening to music, his favorite was always The Beatles. 

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lena; and a sister, Shirley Schmuck.  He is survived by his children, Lindsey and Eric; his former wife and friend, Lynn; and a brother, Charlie.

A memorial celebration of Larry’s life will be held Saturday, January 6th at 1:00 PM at Love In Action Community Ministries located at 203 Bowers Ave. Battle Creek, MI 49014.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to the family c/o his daughter, Lindsey Newell.  Arrangements by Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek.  Personal messages for the family may be placed here at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
