Larry "Blue" Williams

Larry "Blue" Williams age 64, of Lansing, Michigan departed this life and went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 24, 2019. He was born in Battle Creek on July 12, 1954, the son of Beulah Mae Williams.

Larry was a strong and caring person who loved his family dearly. He greatly loved and admired his niece, nephews, and his special nieces, Coriah Williams and Tracy LeBlanc. Larry would light up a room with a warm smile & hug, and touched the hearts of many. He worked various manufacturing jobs and then found his passion in barbering. Larry loved watching sports on TV, and also enjoyed reading in his spare time & playing dominoes.

Larry was sadly preceded in death by his mother, Beulah Mae Johnson; his step-father, Allan Johnson; and his sister, Violet J. Williams. He leaves to cherish his precious memories, seven sisters, Vernial (Charles) LeBlanc, Leola (George) Kendall, Diane (Isaac) Wilson, Rosemary Williams, Allene Upton, Carla Johnson and LaTonya Johnson; a brother, Lewis Lee Carr; a special aunt, Suvernia Hightower; special friends, Terry Bell, Steve Garrett & Jerry Witcher; and a host of other loving family and friends.

The family will receive friends 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 7th at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek. A Home Going Service to celebrate Larry's life will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 8th at the Second Missionary Baptist Church 485 N. Washington Ave. Battle Creek, MI 49037 where a family hour will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
