Latricia Ann "Trish" Leatherman

Latricia Ann Leatherman (Gilmore), 80, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away on December 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving daughters.

Trish was born on August 8, 1945, in Battle Creek, Michigan and married Michael Dale Leatherman on October 30, 1965. Together, they built a life in Barry County (Lacey, MI). She was a devoted wife, mother and Meme who cherished time with her family, especially playing cards, games and puzzles with her kids and grandkids.

Trish graduated from Springfield High School in 1963 and attended Kellogg Community College. She began her career with Kellogg Company then transitioned to Price Waterhouse. In 1991, Trish joined the Kellogg Foundation where she supported the development and implementation of Africa Programs and brought back fond memories from her trip to Zimbabwe. Trish retired from the Foundation in 1999.

Trish loved camping with her long-time friends and attended as many sporting events as possible to cheer on her grandkids. She loved her fur babies and spending time with her family in the backyard pool or on the lake.

Trish is survived by her daughters, Christina (Scott) Hutchings and Michelle (Benjamin) Hull; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Gavin, Macy and Roman; and brother, Joe (Lynda) Panczyk. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Michael Dale Leatherman and her mother Catherine Latricia Panczyk.

Visitation will be held at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home in Battle Creek on Wednesday, January 7th, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at St. Philip Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026. Trish will be laid to rest with Michael at Fort Custer National Cemetery at11:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
