Laura Belle (Brooks) Marr of Kalamazoo, MI

Laura, age 78, died Tuesday evening, March 8, 2016 at Kairos Dwelling of Kalamazoo and with her loving family by her side.

Laura, the daughter of Joseph Milton and Helen Irene (Roop) Brooks, was born in Baltimore, MD on February 2, 1938. She had been employed at Production Plates Plastics of Richland, MI.

Laura is survived by her five children, Mary (Lee) Tober of Baltimore, MD, David (Chris) Langstrom of Kawkawlin, MI, Irvin (Kathy) Langstrom of Grand Junction, MI, Allen (Julie) Langstrom of Richland and Ed (Dawn) Marr of Galesburg, MI; eleven grandchildren, Stacy, Gordon, April, David, Nathan, Christie, Justin, Ashley, Katelyn, Jay and Alex; thirteen great grandchildren; her sister, Patricia Huber and three brothers, John, Mike and Tom Brooks, all of Maryland. Laura was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Chuck, Joe and Jimmy Brooks.

The Memorial Service to celebrate Laura's life will be held on Saturday, March 19th at 11:00 a.m. at Life Changing Ministries, 3932 E. Kilgore Avenue, Portage, MI 49002. Final interment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery, Richland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Laura's honor may be directed to Kairos Dwelling, 2945 Gull Road, Kalamazoo, MI 49048 or Life Changing Ministries. The Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel is assisting Laura's family with her arrangements.
