Laura Belle (Spinney) Wells

Laura Belle (Spinney) Wells passed away peacefully on June 6, 2023.

She was born on Feb 3rd, 1929, in Charlotte, Michigan, to Otis and Kathleen (Hicks) Spinney. She is survived by two sons, Michael (Cathy) Downes and Daniel (Tammy) LeBarre, and a daughter Lisa Kay Downes. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Suzanne Truch in 1984. Laura was also preceded in death by her husband Robert Wells, three brothers Bruce, Roy, and Fred Spinney and two sisters, Vivian Kline and Marjorie Rogers.

Laura enjoyed beautiful flower gardens and especially enjoyed the holidays and listening to music.  She is survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  She also had several cousins she was very fond of. Laura had a very best friend Barb Trascik, whom she was friends with for many years.  The two of them would take off in mom's car and drive, not really knowing where they were going but always finding a restaurant for a bite to eat. She loved Barb's family like her own.  She also leaves behind a special family friend, Helen Dugan, and they always had good times together and "girl talk", like Mom called it. 

At Laura’s request, no services are planned.  Cremation has taken place and her ashes will be interred at Ft. Custer National Cemetery next to her late husband Robert Wells.
