Lenora Ethel "Gram" Green

Lenora Ethel "Gram" Green, age 69, of Battle Creek died peacefully with her loving family at her side on Friday evening, April 3, 2015. She was born in Battle Creek on December 18, 1945, the daughter of Clarence W. and Sylvia May (Blodgett) Hicks. Lenora enjoyed gardening, sewing, watching the boys race and fishing.

Lenora is survived by her children, Kenneth, Terri (Charles), Becky, & Billy Wade, Duane (Melissa) and Lonnie (Angela) Green; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, and her brothers & sisters, Lottie, Wesley, John, Cecil, Ruth & Clyde. She was preceded in death by a son, Alvin Smith; a daughter, Marlene Wade-Douglas; a daughter-in-law, Sheryl Wade; a granddaughter, Billie Jean Morris; and brothers, & sisters, Bev, Marcella, Calvin, Jack and Floyd.

The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 10, 2015 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home where funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 11, 2015. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to the family.
