Leo Michael Kuliczkowski

June 1, 1933 — September 30, 2016

Leo Michael Kuliczkowski, age 83, of Battle Creek, died peacefully on Friday evening, September 30, 2016 at the Bronson @ Home Hospice Residence. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 1, 1933, the loving son of Stanley & Stephanie (Stachowska) Kuliczkowski. Leo faithfully served his country as a member of the United States Army & the Merchant Marines. He worked as a barber and in machine repair before working as a plumber with the Local #333 for more than 50 years.

Leo married Phyllis Irene Mackinac in Chicago, Illinois on September 3, 1960; she sadly preceded him in death on August 3, 1995. He is survived by his children, Leo P. (Mandy) Kuliczkowski of Battle Creek; Diane (Terry) Lewis of Avilla, Indiana, and Kenny (Michelle) Kuliczkowski of Battle Creek; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, and his significant other, Sue Gale of Battle Creek. Leo was also preceded in death by a son, Peter S. Kuliczkowski; his grandson, Christopher N. Kuliczkowski; a sister and 4 brothers.

Leo was an active member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and served in various capacities throughout the years. He was also a member of the P.N.A., the Plumbers Union Local #333, and was a strong supporter of the Boys Scouts of America. A true animal lover, Leo enjoyed going for walks with his dogs. He also enjoyed dancing & Polish music, woodworking & home improvement projects, going to flea markets, collecting magazines, watching old movies and truly enjoyed spending time with his family.

Leo will be interred with his wife, Phyllis at the Fort Custer National Cemetery. A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Leo's life will be held 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2016 at the P.N.A. #2416, 15 Clair St, Battle Creek, MI 49014.
