Leslie J. “Les” Frye, 65, of Battle Creek, died March 16, 2024. Les was born September 21, 1958 in Battle Creek to Louis and Kaye (Meeder) Frye. He graduated from Pennfield High School in 1976 and was the owner/operator of Fountain Repair Business.
Les enjoyed fishing, skiing and boating. He took great pride in saving his graduation money to buy a fishing boat, the same boat he kept for 47 years. He loved his friends and was always ready for a good party. He grew great garden vegetables, especially his “specialty plants.” Les enjoyed shooting guns and was a proud member of the NRA.
Les is survived by his brother, Tom (Nola) Frye and nieces, Kayla Frye and Miranda Wydel. He was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother, Donald Frye and many long time friends.
Funeral services to celebrate Les’ life will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 25, 2024 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Interment will follow at Hicks Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, starting at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Rifle Association.
