Lillian B. Conners

Lillian B. Conners, age 96 of Battle Creek died peacefully on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.  She was born in Norwalk, Connecticut on January 1, 1927, the loving daughter of William H. and Lillian A. (Kinkel) Spitzer.  She retired from the Battle Creek Enquirer in 1992 after many years of dedicated service.  She enjoyed reading, sewing and playing cards.

Lillian married the “Love of Her Life”, Kurt R. Conners in Battle Creek on September 23, 1967.  She is survived by her husband of more than 55 years, Kurt; and a nephew, Craig Spitzer.  Lillian was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, William, Fred and Philip Spitzer.

A private interment will be held at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens and a public memorial gathering to celebrate her life will be held 12:30 p.m., Saturday, May 13^th at the Asian Buffet Hibachi Grill, 5700 Beckley Rd., Battle Creek.  In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.  Arrangements by Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek.  Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
