On July 27, 2019, surrounded by her loving family, Linda was finally able to rest after a long, hard, well fought battle with cancer.

Linda will be remembered by many for her huge, loving heart. Her kind and gentle soul. Her unbreakable strength, strong faith, bright blue eyes and beautiful smile.

On most sunny days, you could find Linda in her favorite spot on her front porch, chatting with friends or family, laughing on the phone, reading a book or watching her birds. Linda loved camping in Traverse City, shopping, sending special notes or cards and all holidays.

Above all, Linda loved her family. Family was her everything. She's leaves behind her husband of 50 years, Michael B Darr; her three daughters, Shelly (Santiago) Hernandez, Stacey Darr, Erica Darr; her son, Brayden Darr; her twelve grandchildren, Zachary, Karleigh (John Guritz), Tyler, Kennedy, Madison, Allysia, Josslen, Carlos, Anthony, Jaxson, Beckham, Ella; one great-granddaughter, Reece Lindan; her son-In-law, Michael McGriff; her mother, Marcy Robertson; her sisters, Jill (Del) Fausey and Mary (Dave) Grimm; her brothers, John (Leslie) Robertson and Tim (Carol) Robertson; many nieces & nephews; and her lifelong friend, Jill Sampson. Linda will be greeted in Heaven by her first born daughter, Rebecca Darr McGriff; her father, John Robertson; and her youngest sister, Jane Cochrane.

We thank you Linda/Mom/GiGi for all the wonderful memories and unconditional love. You will forever be missed and we promise to carry you in our hearts always. We are all better people because we had you in our lives. XOXO.

The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 30th at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek where the Parish Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Linda's life will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 31st at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Francis A. Marotti, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider making donations to the West Michigan Cancer Center or to Hospice Care of SW Michigan.
