Linda Jean (Staib) Medich

Linda Jean (Staib) Medich, age 71, of Battle Creek passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, December 6, 2022, in Battle Creek. She was born in Battle Creek on September 1, 1951, the loving daughter of James Alfred and Elinor Jean (McCauley) Staib. She graduated from St. Philip High School with the class of 1969. Linda worked at Keiper Recaro for 21 years and then served as a school bus driver for the Battle Creek public schools for 24 years, retiring in June of 2022. Linda enjoyed antiques, gardening, flowers and walking her Alaskan Malamutes, whom she loved dearly.

Linda met the "Love of Her Life", Daniel J. Medich on January 2, 1968 and were married at St. Philip Catholic Church on October 25, 1969. Through their years together they were rarely seen apart and recently celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. Linda celebrated life with husband Daniel, as well as her children Teri (Tim) Walters and Jeff (Helga) Medich, both of Indiana, and two grandchildren Katie & Emma Walters whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by several siblings, nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

A private family interment has been held and a memorial mass in Linda's honor will be held at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church at a later date.
