Linda Lee Myers

Linda Lee (Moore) Myers, age 74, of Battle Creek, MI, died Tuesday morning, May 31, 2016 at University Hospital of Cleveland, OH, following a courageous battle with cancer.


Linda, the daughter of Jess and Minnie (Stone) Moore, was born in Beckley, West Virginia on September 22, 1941; moved to the Battle Creek area in 1952 and was a 1959 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. She had been employed at area banks, Fort Custer Hospital and retired from Post Cereal in 1982 after 15 years of faithful service.


Kenneth A. Myers was Linda's husband of 31 years and he sadly preceded her in death on March 3, 2014. Surviving is her daughter, Kimberly A. Maricic of South Euclid, OH; her step-daughter, Jill A. Sampson of Battle Creek; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband and parents, a daughter, Sheri R. Hartman, also preceded Linda in death.


Linda enjoyed yard work, gardening, crossword & jigsaw puzzles; bird and hot air balloon watching. If you knew Linda you would know she was a real people person. Linda was a member of Polish National Alliance and along with her husband attended many Post retirees functions.


Friends will be received 4:00-6:00 p.m. Friday at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. The Funeral Service to celebrate Linda's life will be officiated by Rev. Robert G. Muirhead at the funeral home 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016. Committal and interment will follow at Floral Lawn memorial Gardens.
