Linda Marie (Bilbia) Winstone, 67, of Battle Creek went to be with the Lord while at Masonic Pathways in Alma, Michigan on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 9:20 a.m.
Linda was born September 6, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan to Peter and Lucille (Armour) Bilbia. She grew up in Battle Creek and was a 1967 graduate of Lakeview High School. Linda earned her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree at Kellogg Community College. She was in the process of obtaining her Registered Nursing Degree until her battle with Multiple Sclerosis made it impossible to work. Linda was employed at the former Lakeview General Hospital, and then later at Springhill Manor.
Linda married Robert Gerald Winstone on August 31, 1969 in Battle Creek. Surviving are her husband, Bob; daughter, Anita Winstone of Battle Creek; three sons, Jerry (Dawn) Winstone and Tim (Lynette) Winstone both of Battle Creek, and Brian (Corinne) Winstone of East Leroy; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ken (Mary) Bilbia of Alpena, David (Gayle) Bilbia of Battle Creek; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Linda was preceded in death by her parents.
Linda was a member of First Wesleyan Church. She was an avid reader, accomplished knitter, loved to go camping, and enjoyed old movies. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Linda will be remembered by her faith in God, the way she loved, her strength, and her dedication and commitment to her family.
Friends will be received 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Nick Nelson at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016. Committal and interment will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
