Linnea Kay Hetz

Linnea K. Hetz, 82, of Battle Creek, died July 14, 2021. Linnea was born October 4, 1938 in Battle Creek to Harold and Floris (Rainey) Beebe. Shortly after graduating high school, Linnea married Darrell Hetz on April 29, 1961. In addition to raising their children, Linnea worked for the Kellogg Company, retiring in 1992.

Linnea enjoyed crocheting, making baby blankets for her grandchildren and baking fudge and chocolate chip cookies. She also liked to visit the casino and gamble.

Linnea is survived by her husband, Darrell; a daughter, Kelli (George) Simons; a son, Vern (Mary) Hetz; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a brother, Vance Beebe. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Pat Sellers and two brothers, Lee and Allan Beebe.

A memorial service to celebrate Linnea's life will be 6:00 p.m., Monday, July 26, 2021 at Central Christian Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital.
