Lois Kathleen DeWolf, 95, a lifelong Battle Creek resident died at Bronson at Home Hospice Residence on Saturday, January 10, 2015 following a short illness.
Lois was born August 15, 1919 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Frank H. and Bertha Fern (Southerton) DeWolf. She was a 1938 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and received her Business Degree from the former Argubright Business College in Battle Creek. Lois retired in 1981 having worked for Associated Business & Tax Service doing accounting and bookkeeping.
There are no close family members surviving but she had many friends at Sterling House Assisted Living, where she resided for the past 4 ½ years; as well as many friends at church.
Lois attended Battle Creek Bible Church; and was a member and past president of the former Battle Creek Women s Club. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, picture puzzles, music, and find a word puzzles. Lois enjoyed several trips to Hawaii and visited the Land of Israel.
Friends may call 1:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home. Funeral services will be officiated by Rev. Larry T. Messer 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Lois will be interred next to her parents at Oak Hill Cemetery.
