Lois Joan (Osborn) Quinn

Lois Joan (Osborn) Quinn, 91, a lifelong Battle Creek, Michigan resident died peacefully at home, with her family at her side on Saturday, July 22, 2023.

Lois was born November 10, 1931, in Battle Creek to Carl and Gertrude (Beam) Osborn. She was a 1950 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. Lois retired from the Battle Creek Enquirer as the Circulation Department Manager, after a long career.

Lois Joan Osborn was united in marriage to Bernard John Quinn on February of 1951 in Battle Creek. Sadly, Lois was preceded in death her husband, “Ben”; by two sons, Michael David Quinn and Patrick John Quinn; her parents; and two brothers, Sonny & Richard Osborn. Surviving are her son, Timothy Carl Quinn of Battle Creek; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Jerry Osborn; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.

Lois was a member of the Assembly of Yahweh in Eaton Rapids, MI. She was very talented and creative. She created dolls with porcelain faces that she made, cured, modeled, molded & painted; and then made clothes and coordinated clothing and accessories until a beautiful doll was finished. She restored paintings, made quilts and wedding cakes. Lois will be remembered as a caring, kind, loving, and was always there for her sons when needed.

A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2023; where Lois will be laid to rest next to her husband, Ben.
