Lori Kay Sullivan

October 6, 1974 — March 5, 2023

Goodyear, AZ

Lorelle "Lori" Kay Sullivan of Goodyear, Arizona passed away peacefully on March 5, 2023 in Goodyear, Arizona. Lori was born on October 6, 1974 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  She was employed by the USPS for over 15 years. A beloved mother, wife, aunt, grandmother, and friend, she is survived by her husband John Veik, parents Daniel and Terri, son Erik and his wife Rebecca, daughters Ashley, Lindsey and her partner Marek, sister Kacy and 8 beautiful grandchildren: Natalie, Grace, Isabelle, Addison, Ava, Levi, Peyton, and Gunner, plus two grandchildren who are on their way. Lori also leaves behind and a large family of aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Lori had a loving soul. She was adored by all who had the privilege of spending time with her and lived every day showing kindness and warmth to others. She was compassionate, warm hearted, thoughtful, and sweet. She often posted inspirational poems and sayings to her social media in an effort to help elevate others. She had an infectious smile and loved life. Her home and family were priceless to her, filled with family pictures, willow tree angel figurines of family, and uplifting sayings. In fact, her family was her proudest accomplishment. Her grandchildren gave her so much joy, she loved looking forward to talking to them on the phone or Facetime and she was overjoyed when her kids and grandchildren came to visit. When she was feeling up to it, she loved to go out to eat and travel with her husband. She enjoyed all things in nature, but especially roses, butterflies, owls, and roosters.

Lori will be remembered for her love of life, her strong will to fight through her health struggles, and her determination to remain positive even through the toughest of times. She was the heart of her family that loved her greatly and will be deeply missed. The sun now shines brightly on Lori and she is starting a new adventure freely with her beloved support dog Wally by her side. Lori will never be gone from our hearts and if we listen and look closely, she is still all around us.
