Lucille Ann [Bonke] Lindauer of Battle Creek, MI
Lucille, age 89 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at her residence with her loving family at her side.
Lucille, the daughter of William and Freda (Ohlrich) Bonke, was born in Detroit, MI on October 29, 1931. She moved with her family to Battle Creek in 1942 and graduated from St. Philip Catholic High School in 1949. Lucille had been employed at Wolf's Drug Store and Larry's Pharmacy. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, dancing, traveling and going to the casino.
Lucille was united in marriage to Franklyn C. Lindauer in St. Philip Roman Catholic Church on April 25, 1953 and they had 67 wonderful years together. Also surviving are her four children, Curtis Lindauer of Battle Creek, Karen (David) Geibig of Niles, MI, Kathy Lindauer Thompson of Battle Creek and Paul (Carol) Lindauer of Marshall, MI; eight precious grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Gladys Larner and her husband, Lloyd; brother, Robert Bonke and his wife, Madeline; brother, William Bonke and his wife, Ondavere and her daughter-in-law, Sharon L. Lindauer.
The Graveside Service to celebrate Lucille's and Franklyn's lives will be held on Tuesday, December 29th at Noon at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens, Battle Creek. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lucille's honor may be directed to the Southwest Michigan Food Bank or a charity of one's choice. The Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek is assisting Lucille and Franklyn's family.
