Luella Jean Traut

On Thursday, December 16, 2021, LuElla Jean Traut, passed away at the age of 91.

LuElla is predeceased by her husband, Robert and her son-in-law Mark Swanson. She is survived by her three children, LuAnn (David Warren), Michael, and Karen (Swanson), two grandchildren Emily (Hunter Avis) and Samuel (Whitney), two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

LuElla was born in Battle Creek, Michigan to Oscar and Haydee Fershee. She graduated from Battle Creek High School and worked at Jacobson's and the Enquirer News for many years before retiring to Tennessee.

Visitation is scheduled for LuElla on Thursday, December 23, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home, 105 Capital Avenue NE, Battle Creek, MI 49017.
