Lyle, the son of Clarence and Irma (Price) Trumbull of Maple City, was born on December 21, 1943 in Traverse City, MI and moved to this area in 1988. Lyle began his life career as a salesman and remained a salesman to his very core. He was a small business owner for the last 25 years and he enjoyed it every minute. Lyle had a great love for the
Lord and was an active member of his church. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and always looked forward to the Sabbath, when they would have others over for lunch and fellowship. He especially enjoyed hosting college campus ministries and activities. Lyle's hobbies included boating, fishing,motorcycling, snowmobling and camping.
In 1972, he married Deborah Powers, who had two children of her own, Pam and Jamie, whom he raised as his own. They later had one child together, Tadd. On June 16,1991, at the shore of Gull Lake, Lyle was united in marriage to the former Judi J. Holman and she survives. Also surviving is his daughter, Kimberly G. (Giovanni) Leonor of Berrien Springs, MI; three sons, Gary T. (Marisol) Holman of Anderson, IN, Jim B. (Rachelle)Trumbull of Copemish, MI and Tadd M. (Lesley)Trumbull of Seminole, FL; ten grandchildren; his sister, Louise Murphy of Traverse City and his brother, Nolan Trumbull of Maple City, MI. His death is preceded by his mother, father, brother, Leslie and his sister, Letta. He lived out the rest of his life devoted his family.
The Memorial Service to celebrate Lyle's life will be held on Thursday, February 21st at 4:00 p.m. at the Kalamazoo Seventh-DayAdventist Church, 1601 Nichols Road, with the Pastor Daniel Ferraz, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lyle's honor may be directed to the Kalamazoo Seventh-DayAdventist Church. The Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Richland Chapel(269-629-6022) is in charge of all the arrangements.
