Manuel Barroso of Jackson, MI and formerly of Battle Creek, MI
Manuel, age 70, died Friday evening, January 13, 2017 at the Jackson County Medical Care Facility with his loving daughter, Angela at his side.
Manuel, the son of Domingo and Cevera (Rodigus) Barroso, was born in Springport, MI on March 18, 1946 and was a lifetime area resident. He was a self-employed handy man who could do anything and everything. Manuel enjoyed making things and crafts of all kinds. He collected things at flea markets or thrift shops and refurbished them. Manuel was a very giving individual especially to his family.
Surviving is his daughter, Angela M. (Jeremy) Williams of Rives Junction, MI; his three precious grandchildren, Melissa, Sarah and Jay; three sisters, Gloria Olney, Margaret Fleming and Rose (Bob) Abbott; three brothers, Mario Barroso, Albert Barroso and Frank Presley and his brother-in-law, Charles Powell. Manuel was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dora Villanueva and Francis Powell and four brothers, Juan, Domingo, Junior and Raymond Barroso's.
The Memorial Gathering to celebrate Manuel's life will be held on Sunday, January 22nd from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the PNA Club, 15 Claire Street, Battle Creek, MI 49014. The Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek is assisting Manuel's family with his arrangements.
