Marceline Frances "Marcy" (Prill) Robertson

Marceline Frances "Marcy" (Prill) Robertson, 91, a lifelong Battle Creek resident died peacefully with her family at her side at Glen Arbor Hospice Residence on Saturday, November 23, 2019.

Marcy was born February 2, 1928 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Harry E. and Mary G. (McHale) Prill. Marcy grew up in Battle Creek and graduated from St. Philip High School in 1945. First, she was employed briefly at Clark Equipment Company. Then she was employed for 21 years at the former Cut Rate Food Markets and during that time she was the Steward of The Retails Clerks Union. After retiring, she worked for Walker Drug Store in Verona for three years with her good friend, Helen Walker.

Marceline Frances Prill was united in marriage to John Cunningham Robertson at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Battle Creek on February 15, 1947. Marcy was preceded in death by her husband John on November 18, 2001. Surviving are two daughters, Jill (Del) Fausey and Mary (Dave) Grimm both of Battle Creek, two sons, John (Leslie) Robertson of Battle Creek and Tim (Carol) Robertson of Redwood City, CA; two sons-in-law, Jim Cochrane and Michael Darr both of Battle Creek; 20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her husband, Marcy was also preceded in death by two daughters, Jane Cochrane on February 19, 2015, Linda Darr on July 27, 2019; three sisters, Mary Tompkins, Gerry Wright and Rita Jarchow and two brothers, James and Donald Prill.

Marcy enjoyed her twenty grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild, especially at Christmas. She also enjoyed doll collecting, working in her flower gardens, playing Bridge, bird watching, bowling and walking around her neighborhood She enjoyed her last several years at Lakeview Senior Living where she thrived in their home atmosphere and participated in many activities, especially Bingo and her daily two mile walks. Marcy was a member of St. Philip Roman Catholic Church, and the Battle Creek Social Club. She was a member of the Breast Cancer Society and participated in the Susan Komen Breast Cancer Walk .

Marcy's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Bronson Battle Creek third floor nurses and doctors; and Hospice Care of SW Michigan at the Glen Arbor Hospice Residence, for their excellent care.

Friends will be received 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, where the Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. A committal service will be held for Marcy's family.
