Marcia Ann (Berger) Worthington of Augusta, MI

Marcia, age 75, died Wednesday evening, August 29, 2018 at the Rose Arbor Hospice Residence, Kalamazoo following a two month illness.

Marcia, the daughter of Rex and Eleanor (Schwartz) Berger, was born in Lansing, MI on September 28, 1942 and moved to this area in 1986. She was a 1960 graduate of Lansing Eastern High School and attended Michigan State University for two years studying horticulture. Marcia was the former owner, operator and designer/arranger of the Flower Depot of Galesburg, MI. She also was employed as a designer/arranger at Ambati Flowers of Kalamazoo and Greensmith Florist of Battle Creek, MI. Marcia's hobbies included gardening and antiquing. Marcia had a special love for all flowers and nature!

Marcia was united in marriage to Gene W. Worthington in Lansing, MI on May 24, 1969. Surviving is her husband of 49 years, Gene; her daughter, Julie E. (Mike) Wagar of Climax, MI; her son, Greg G. Worthington of Livonia, MI; two precious granddaughters, Ashley L. and Emily R. Wagar and her sister, Ardyce Deason of Lansing, MI. Marcia was preceded in death by her parents and her best friend, Barney, an 85 pound, black and white Springer Spaniel.

Marcia's family will greet friends on Friday, September 7th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Augusta Chapel, 307 N. Webster Street.
