Margie (Huntley) Dilliner of Olivet, MI
Margie, age 87, died Sunday evening, February 22, 2015 at her caregiver's residence in Potterville, MI.
Margie, the daughter of Charles R. and Ora A. (Waterman) Huntley, was born on October 23, 1927 in Essex Township of Clinton County, MI. She was a 1946 graduate of Vestaburg (MI) High School and attended Kellogg Community College. Margie was a homemaker most of her adult life, but she did find time to be an artist specializing in portraits and landscapes, even selling a few of her "Master Pieces." She enjoyed cooking and sewing and was always sharing everything she had learned. Margie had a passion for children having been a Foster Parent for 29 children and helping them reunite with their families.
Margie was united in marriage to Richard Tyler, Clarence Miller, who preceded her in death on May 26, 1983 and to Richard C. Dilliner, Sr. Rick and Margie were wed on March 31, 1997 and he preceded her in death on March 5, 2012. She is survived by three daughters, Shirley F. (Tim) Toler of Mason, MI, Judy Joellen (Raul) Palomarez of Payson, AZ and Janet Heign of Constantine, MI; her son, Dan R. Tyler of Ontario, OR; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; her step-son, Richard Dilliner of Las Vegas, NV; six step-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Patricia Dilliner of Ludington, MI, her caregivers, Barbara and Robert Lomax of Potterville, MI and many more special friends. Margie was preceded in death by her parents and a step-son, Charles Dilliner.
The Funeral Service to celebrate Margie's life will be held on Thursday, February 26th at 3:00 p.m. at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Battle Creek with Rev. Doug Hammond of the First Assembly of God Church of Olivet, officiating. Margie's family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Bedford (MI) Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Margie's honor may be directed to their local Hospice.
