Margaret Louise (Ott) Maegli

Margaret L. (Ott) Maegli was born to Eternal Life January 19, 2021 at the age of 82 years.

Margaret was born in 1938 in Jackson, MI to Louis J. and Mary L. (Klinkhammer) Ott. She moved to Battle Creek, MI at the age of seven, was a 1956 graduate of St. Philip Catholic Central, attended Nazareth College for two years and graduated from Marquette University in 1962. She has resided in Milwaukee most of her life where she was employed as a Social Worker. She was married in 1965 to Roger Maegli.

Surviving are her daughter, Diane Robin (Roy) Hippert of Franklin, WI; two grandsons, Christopher and Jonathan Hippert and two brothers, David (Sharon) Ott of East Leroy and Thomas (Claire) Ott of Battle Creek. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Michael Ott in 1959 and her former husband Roger Maegli.

Margaret was a member of St. Roman Catholic Church in Milwaukee where she was a member of the Parish Council for six years and headed their Social Services Outreach Program. She also served as a County Supervisor in a recall election.

Visitation Wednesday, January 27 from 12:00 Noon -1:00 PM at ST. ROMAN CHURCH (1810 W. Bolivar Ave) followed by the celebration of Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place at Battle Creek Memorial Park in Battle Creek, MI on Friday, January 29 at 1:00 PM.
