Margaret E. Reeves

Margaret E. Reeves, age 82, of Battle Creek passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Battle Creek Manor. She was born in Pennfield Township on August 22, 1933, the daughter of Edward E. and Dallas Marry (Ellis) Whitmore.

Margaret married the "Love of Her Life", Earl R. Reeves on September 27, 1954; he sadly preceded her in death on September 7, 1997. She is survived by her children, Geraldine ("Mike") Rivera of Battle Creek, and Earl (Jean) Galloway of Nebraska; grandchildren, Anna Rivera of Battle Creek; Thomas (Traci) Galloway, and Anthony (Mishawn) Galloway, both of Nebraska; 7 great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Maxine E. Simons of Florida, Donna J. Campbell and Crystal I. Wood, both of Battle Creek. Margaret was also preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, James Whitmore.

Margaret enjoyed working crossword puzzles. Margaret's true passion in life was her family, and she loved babysitting and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services to celebrate Margaret's life will be held at a later date at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Battle Creek. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to family c/o Geraldine Rivera.
