Marian Chapman

Marian Wilma Chapman, 95, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024 surrounded by her family. 

Marian was born March 28, 1929 in Lake Odessa to Willis and Leona (Sharp) Overly. She attended Parsons Business School. In 1947, Marian was united in marriage to Kenneth Chapman. She was a school bus driver for many years for Gull Lake and was great with kids. When she was younger, she enjoyed hunting, fishing, looking for morels, golfing and bowling. She and Kenneth loved traveling together. Marian also enjoyed volunteering with the American Legion and at Hickory Corners Methodist Church. In her later years, she liked to spend time gambling at the casino. 

Marian is survived by her children, Marilyn (Herm) Clear, Craig (Valerie) Chapman, Barb Moore and Christine Chapman, ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Kenneth Chapman.

 A celebration of life for Marian will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post 484 at 3801 West Hickory Road.
