MariAn, died Monday evening, June 1, 2015 at Eaton County Palliative Care, Charlotte, MI surrounded by her loving family.
MariAn, the daughter of Charles and Lura Belle "Mary" (Grant) Phelps was born in Battle Creek. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Joe Hanley; two sons, Mark (Karen) Williams of Bryon Center, MI and Matt (Kristi) Williams of Battle Creek; by three precious grandchildren, Heather (Kyle) McLeod, Kyle and Cole Williams; a great-grandson and by two sisters, Jeanetta (Howard) Doan and Cheryl (Larry) Southern, both of Battle Creek. MariAn was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, David Dilsaver.
A private, family Graveside Service was conducted at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI with Rev. James D. Sirks of the North Avenue Church of God, officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution in MariAn's honor to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan, 2500 Watkins Road, Battle Creek, MI 49015. The Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek is in charge of the arrangements.
