Marian Leone Hoffman

Marian Leone Hoffman, age 97, of Battle Creek passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 27, 2019. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 3, 1922, the daughter of Earl Martin and Justine Marie (Gould) Armour and graduated with the Lakeview High School Class of 1940. Marian was employed for several years at the Kellogg Company and at Dr.'s Campbell, Power & Stephenson, where she retired after 20 years.

Marian married the "Love of Her Life", Clifford B. Hoffman in Waynesville, Missouri on February 11, 1942; he sadly preceded her in death on January 1, 2007. She is survived by her children, Norma (Sam) Hostetler, Ross Hoffman, Steve (Donna) Hoffman, and Virginia L. Lawson; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Marian was also preceded in death by her sons, Larry G. and Clifford "Lee" Hoffman; her brothers, Roland D. Armour and Gordon Earl Armour; and her sisters, Mildred Irene Pierce, Margaret Marie Jodon, and Maxine Mae Jiran.

Family was everything to Marian, and she loved having them around her. She enjoyed many hobbies and loved traveling. She spent a great deal of her time sewing and knitting for her girls and her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing cards and painting her ceramics.

Funeral services to celebrate Marian's life were held at the Fort Custer National Cemetery where she was interred next to her beloved husband, Clifford.
